Looking for the best exchange rate.

I exchanged 230,44euros on May 14th, 2009. The official exchange rate was 1,35dollars to the euro. The bank Ibercaja gave me $300 and charged me a 1,00euro minimum commission for the transaction. Is this a good exchange rate? Is there anything better out there?
